HMS Poultry source their chicken from farms with RSPCA certification. These farms prioritise welfare by providing their birds with more space to move comfortably and quality litter so they can perform natural behaviours such as scratching, foraging and dustbathing. They also raise their meat chickens in enriched environments that include perches and pecking objects which in turn encourage activity and exploration
Meat chickens that are barn raised to RSPCA Certified standards are carefully managed to maintain comfortable temperature, good air quality and natural lighting schedules to allow the birds to rest. The birds have continuous access to feed and fresh water; flocks are checked daily by trained stock people who monitor health, mobility, and overall condition.
These farms are independently assessed to ensure they continue to meet the detailed requirements of the RSPCA Certified Standard for meat chickens. Alongside this higher-welfare sourcing, HMS Poultry facilities operate under strong food safety and quality assurance systems; they are also HACCP certified to deliver consistent, trusted poultry products to food businesses across Queensland.
