Aldi Chicken

These farms take pride in raising their birds in barn environments, where the meat chickens enjoy space to move, good lighting and can perch, dustbathe and forage – ultimately leading to better welfare.

Available across all ALDI stores nationally.

“ALDI is committed to best practice industry standards of animal welfare across our supply chain, and we work closely with our business partners to ensure better treatment of animals. Prioritising animal welfare is an important part of being a responsible business.”

ALDI Turkey

ALDI sources fresh whole turkey from RSPCA Certified farms. These farms undergo regular, stringent assessments to ensure conformance with the RSPCA Standards.

Turkeys on these farms are reared in barns, with provisions for better welfare.

Like other poultry on RSPCA Certified farms, turkeys have the opportunity to enjoy dust bathing, exploring their environment, interesting objects to peck at, and freedom to socialise with each other.

As intelligent and inquisitive birds, it’s important that turkeys are reared in environments that provide them with enrichment, space to move about and places to perch to strengthen their bones and muscles. All of these details are included in the RSPCA Australia Standard for Turkeys, which details over 300 unique requirements that lead to a better quality of life.

Available nationally (Christmas period 2024)

Ready to shape the future of higher-welfare farming?

Layer hens raised by producers with RSPCA Certification have nests, perches, litter to dust bathe and enough space to move. The Standard allows for indoor and outdoor housing that provide the hen with opportunities to perform natural behaviours.

Animal welfare is seen by customers as an important part of a brand’s social responsibility. RSPCA Certified is recognised by Australians as meaning animals have been farmed with consideration of their welfare.

A strict chain of custody program means that all RSPCA Certified ingredients can be traced from point of sale right back to the farm and refers to handling of all RSPCA Certified products.
